Most people keep blogs because they have something to say; because they are intensely passionate about something; because they want to write; or quite simply, because they think.
Granted, I can think, write, feel passionately about things, and have something to say, but my main reason for starting/keeping this blog is to pass the time. That's right-- I am not only bored, but I am struggling with ennui and purposelessness.
I am currently finishing a sentence of four years of cruel and unusual punishment at a small university on the East Coast. Lest I start ranting and raving about how much I hate/loathe/resent/abhor my school, the students, the town, etc, suffice it to say that I spend a lot of time alone hibernating and counting down the days until I graduate.
Thus, this blog has no real aim or focus. In fact, I had never considered keeping a blog until now, which I suppose just goes to show you how desperate and solitary my situation has become. Rather than keep things to myself and waste away in silence, I will use this blog as an outlet, albeit silent at that, for all that I feel, think, and encounter whilst suffering through these last three months of institutionalized learning. Bear with me.
